Sunrise

This was the view from my kitchen window yesterday morning.

This time of year the sundogs mean one thing:  It's going to be very cold.  And it was very cold.  And it's still very cold.  The windchill factor brought the temperature down to 20 degrees below zero.

And tonight it's snowing, with a prediction of approximately 6 inches of snow.  The local newspaper stated we've already had close to 30 inches, so winter is off to a roaring start.

What a cool picture! I don't like that it's cold though. We just have a light dusting of snow this morning.

I love the picture. I don't envy you the cold or all the snow you get. I am not sure I could live much farther north than I already do. :)

Beautiful picture and I understand about the cold, it was down to -14F last night and today's high was only 10F It's supposed to stick around for a few more days and begin moving out( toward you, sorry) by Thanksgiving. We have approx 14 inches of snow, so a bit behind you but we're off to a good start on our typical winter*wink*
Back to chopping ice and hauling water from the house, but it's just for the two cattle and the turkeys and chickens, so not so bad this year.
Stay warm, we've been stoking the stove and it's staying toasty warm inside :o)
Blessing to you and Yours this Thanksgiving,
Mike, Kelle and Cortney
