Calf Situation

No calf yet! This is getting worse than waiting for a human baby to arrive! The temperature is supposed to start declining again tonight, with a low of ten below zero. Hopefully if Sandy doesn't deliver today she will wait until tomorrow during the day. I remember thinking that way when I was pregnant with our boys!

Lynn,
I was catching up on blogs I enjoy and haven't had time to read for a week or so.

Praying your jersey waits for the warmer weather before calving, although with your barn, it should be to bad.

Looking at your cow makes me miss Bessie even more, I love those big brown jersy eyes.

You trip to Minot, sounded great. How fun to meet up with likeminded folks and to have so many so close to you. We're loners in our area, but have made friends with several likemind folks 25-30 miles to the south west of us.

Not surprising about selling out of the sugar jellies and jams and the people weary of the honey varieties. I made all my jam and jellies this year with honey. ALL the white sugar( beet sugar) is GMO now, at least this years harvest, there is an injunction to stop sale of GMO beet seed for next season. I pray it holds and they end up doing away with it entirely*sigh*

I've been trying to keep track of all the GM crops and now it seems Monsanto has convinced China to use GM rice seed Now we will have to be weary f where the rice we buy comes from.

Blessings and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Kelle
