We Had a Birthday

Andrew turned 13 this past week. I can't believe he is that old already! He is such a caring, lovable and capable young man, who will soon be taller than his mother.

This was Andrew just a year ago, when we were processing venison. He certainly has changed a lot! Andrew is no longer a boy, but very quickly growing into a man.

This photo must have been at least 4 years ago, when we were given some sheep that had been someone's pets. Andrew would have been 9.

One of the first things Andrew did when we moved up to the Turtle Mountains was build a tree fort. We weren't allowed to have one when we lived in the city. Since that time he has built his own shop out of scrap lumber. Andrew also loves to tinker with engines, and is thrilled whenever Jim brings home a discarded lawn mower at the town landfill.

Happy birthday, Andrew! A man isn't complete without his own Leatherman!
