Not Quite "Countryfied"

I thought I was doing well with learning to cook wild game. However, when late this afternoon Peter brought in a squirrel he had shot, I balked at the idea of having it for supper. So, the boys went ahead and cooked it up themselves. In spite of the rather charcoal flavor, their comment was, "Well, it tastes like chicken!"

I am with you Lynn, although I have a distinct advantage. I have freezers full of chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, deer and pork. I don't need to eat those other animals. =)

Eeew....I don't think I'd mind the hunting and skinning but preparing a meal with squirrel as the main course? I think I'd be a little bit squeamish. I'm glad the boys got to enjoy it, though.

But I'm sure the boys thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
